Mike grew up by Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada.  Following completion of a Bachelor of Arts in History at McMaster University in 1994, he attended the Animation Program at Sheridan College part time.  Mike then completed his 2D animation and pre-production training in the Animation program at Capilano College in Vancouver in 1999.  He later completed a residency at the Canadian Film Centre’s Habitat New Media program in 2005. He has instructed at The DaVinci Institute, the Art Institute of Toronto and Sheridan college.

Mike worked on the television shows;  Z.O.S.,  Naked News, Sons of Butcher,  Adventurers, Roboroach,  Sam and Max,  Pippi Longstocking,  Rupert,  Stickin’ Around,  Little Bear,  Stories of the Seventh Fire and  Anne of Green Gables.  He also worked on the feature films, Marco Polo, Return to Xanadu and Osmosis Jones.  He illustrated the graphic novel Monkeywanger and two books of Moti the Mouse.
