Susan Sproule Beavan was born in Newmarket, Ontario. After graduation from Radio-TV at Ryerson college in 1969, she had a groundbreaking career in television production at TVO and CTV in Toronto. After retiring in 2001, she entered Nova Scotia College of Art and Design as a part-time student and graduated in 2011 with a BFA (Diversified), specializing in painting, drawing, and sculpture.

 

Her art reflects the serenity which she found in that practice, as well as the beauty of her adopted province.
